WIN STREAK ENDS AT 9......CATS END '08 AT 11-1-2.......MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEARS TO EVERYONE FROM THE ENTIRE THUNDERCATS ORGANIZATION...

                                          SCHELL TIES GOAL RECORD
With Reg Delaloye currently on the shelf with a wrist injury, the goal record was within the grasps of Garrett Schell.  And last night, in a 6-3 win over the Ice Bats, Garrett scored a with a bomb of a slapshot.  His 80th goal not only puts him in a tie for the goal lead, but also 2nd in all-time points with 173.  It took Garrett just 86 games to score his 80th goal.  His next milestone will be 100 assits as he currently has 93.  With Reg looking to make a comeback in January, you can bet on a tight race for the remainder of the season for the all-time lead in goals.  The Cats have currently won 9 straight games without Delaloye.  It will be interesting to see how things play out with him back in the lineup.  His 2 Rocket Richard trophies should make the Cats that much better.

Other milestones closing in.....Tyler Jackson needs 1 more game to reach 100 and 6 more goals to reach 50......Garett Isman and Don Beaney are both approaching the 100 assist mark.  They sit with 96 and 93 respectively.  Beaney only needs 3 goals to reach 50 also.  He would become the first defenceman to do so.

                                          2 M0RE MILEST0NES
The Thundercats GM, Shane Houck played in his 100th game as a Thundercat on Tuesday night.  Shane scored 2 goals to become the 1st player in franchise history to score 200 points.  The Cats won the game 5-2 against probably the best team they have played to date, the Willow Creek Flyers.  Goaltender Shayne Wareham stole the show with a 37 save performance.  Shane was quoted after the game by saying.

"I think my behaviour at the end of the game kind of overshadowed my milestones.  I have been trying to get away from that type of thing the last couple of years and was doing well until the last minute.  A couple non-calls really set me off and I was out of line.  But that happens in hockey.  I never even realized until after the game that I got the 2 points I needed to reach 200.  I knew I was within 2, but it never hit me until after.  It feels really good to do so in a winning effort."

                                          DELALOYE TO HAVE SURGERY
Perhaps the teams' most dominant forward of all time is out for up to 4 months.  The sniper is to have surgery on both wrists as a result of a serious carpal tunnel injury.  Because it is in both wrists, the surgery has to be done at different times so he has some use of his hands, making his return that much more delayed.
His first wrist is to be repaired on Nov. 4 and then they will wait and see how things go from there.

Reg is the teams all-time leader in goals with 80 in 58 games played.  He is coming off his best season to date as he scored 30 goals and 49 points in 17 games last season.  He will be missed by the team and the entire Thundercats organization wish him all the best and good luck in a speedy recovery.

                                          CENTURY CLUB ADDS ONE MORE
Tyler Jackson scored late in the 2nd period against the Sabres on Monday night to become the 7th Thundercat to reach the 100 point milestone.  The goal was Rookie's 43rd as a Cat and he is now 7 shy of the 50 goal mark.  He could become the 6th Cat to reach the 50 goal-100 point plateau.  Also in the game, Garett Isman dressed for his 100th game as a Thundercat.  The only member of the team to play more games than him is Shayne Wareham, who has never missed a game since the team started in 2004.  Congratulations to both men on their accomplishments.

                                          THE WAREHAM'S ARE WED
On October 11, Shayne Wareham and Valerie Wowryk were married in Shoal Lake, MB.   On behalf of the entire Thundercats organization, we would like to congratulate the both of them.  Although it was a rather cold day, everything went perfectly and the bride looked beautiful....(and the groom to of course).  Here's to many years of wonderful wedded bliss......Congratulations...
