                                           NEW SINGLE SEASON KING
Mark Tremaine had an unbelievable year for the T-Cats.  He shattered the record books setting new highs in goals with 42 and points with 85. That is 18 points better than the previous record of 67 set by Shane Houck in the team's innaugural season.  And on top of that, he captured 4 trophies on award night, the first 4 of his career.  Among those were the Maurice Richard (most goals), Art Ross (most points), Frank Nighbor (Molson Cup 3 star) and Hart trophy for the teams Most Valuable Player.  Congratulations Train.

                                           NICE LITTLE OFF SEASON
Four members of the Thundercats familia had quite a good summer in 2009.  Marc Taggart and Mike Sharpe, both members of the Thundercats Alumni now, both got married.  Marc is now a member of the Smittys Sabres, who the Cats will face in pre-season action on Wednesday.  Mike exchanged his vows in beautiful British Columbia.  Defenceman Chris Wang and his wife Nicole welcomed Hailey Alexis to the world as their first born child.  And all-time goal leader Garrett Schell and his wife Terri along with their son Ty announced to everyone that they were expecting another child in early 2010.  Congratulations to everyone.

                                           ANOTHER GREAT YEAR
It was the 5th year anniversary for the Thundercats in 2008/09.  It was supposed to be a championship season to celebrate the occasion but it was still pretty fun.  They skated their way to a 17-5-4 record to finish 1st in Division 2 but lost to the eventual Div2 Champs in the semi-finals.  A congratulations are in order for the Tavern United team who played great all season with a 15-9-2 record.  I want to personally thank all 18 guys who suited up for the T-Cats this past winter and say that I had an absolute blast with all of you.  There is a spot on the team for every one of you next season and for years to come.
